Sonshine school is a family outreach ministry and serves 60 to 70 children and approximately 50 families each fall, spring and summer. The purpose of the pre-school ministry is to provide a Christian atmosphere where children can learn about God as well as to give children the opportunity to receive the readiness skills needed to prepare them for kindergarten. Sonshine school has classes for children ages 12 months to 4 years and has developed an excellent reputation for Christian-based education in our community. Sonshine Director Sandra Hayward can be reached at (936) 560-1016 or email at sonshineschool.nac@gmail.com.
About Sonshine School
Sonshine School began as a Mother's Day Out program in 1987. It originally served parents and their children three days a week until 2000 — when it was expanded to a five-day-a-week program and became a state-licensed facility.
At Sonshine School we provide a safe place to learn about God through Bible stories, songs and prayer. Our classes are divided in a manner that allows teachers to provide age-appropriate learning. Our mission is to share the love of Jesus with students, parents and the community.
